Each professional is responsible for the individual requirements as stipulated by his/her licensing agency. Please contact your individual licensing board/regulatory agency to review continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) for the duration of the training to earn CE credits.

Before the event, you will receive an email from CE-Go with access to the virtual event. After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. This link and access to the virtual event will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event.

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for behavioral health professionals, including Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, and MFT's.

Event Learning Objectives

  • Review 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy, the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model and the Three Prong Approach.
  • Describe intake questions to include in Phase 1 History taking to gather pertinent attachment trauma information to determine potential targets.
  • Explain the components of secure attachment and attachment trauma.
  • Define how neglect, rejection, and abuse from attachment trauma interact between the wounded inner child and the adult within to support the conceptualization process in Phase 1 History taking.
  • Demonstrate how to help clients complete the fight/flight or freeze responses in a way that creates lasting empowerment to support Phase 2 preparation to help the client manage affect.
  • Explain and demonstrate inner child guided imagery to help heal the child within to support Phase 2 preparation through recorded demonstration and in practicum.
  • Explain and define the 4 types of attachment styles.
  • Explain and describe how to set up a supportive inner Resource team with a client. Script provided for developing nurturing, wisdom, and protective figures to support Phase 2 preparation through recorded demonstration and in practicum.
  • Demonstrate how to identify potential targets and resources utilizing expressive arts technique for Phase 1 history taking.
  • Explain and observe elements that comprise Phase 1 history taking through an attachment lens exploring questions that highlight attachment styles through recorded demonstrations
  • Explain and observe the mechanics of Phases 3-4 Assessment and Desensitization through an AIP and an attachment lens through recorded demonstrations highlighting typical errors that can occur in Phase 3 Assessment.
  • Explain and observe the mechanics of Phases 5-6 Installation and Body Scan through recorded demonstrations.
  • Explain and observe the mechanics of Phase 7 Closure through recorded demonstrations.
  • Explain and observe interventions for healing attachment wounds focusing on pre-verbal body cues through recorded demonstrations and practicum.
  • .Explain and observe the mechanics of Phase 8 Reevaluation of the former target through recorded demonstrations.

Accommodations
Registrants are responsible for arranging their own travel (accommodations, transportation, dining, etc). The registration fee for this training does not cover the cost of travel. Central Florida EMDR Training is not liable for refunds for travel expenses due to cancellations or any other unforeseen event.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Applicants may cancel their registration at any time for any reason. Only the original Applicant may request a cancellation and only for their own registration.
  • All requests for cancellation must be made and confirmed in writing to contact@CentralFloridaEMDRTraining.com, and only from the Applicant via the email account used during registration.
  • Applicants may cancel for a refund up to 14 days before the first day of the scheduled training for a full refund minus a 15% fee. Cancellations between 13 days up to the scheduled start date, the applicant can transfer the fee to a future training (with a 1 year expiration date) or receive a 50% refund of the training fee.
  • Refunds can only be provided by the original means paid, and to the original payee.
  • There are no refunds on or after the start date of training. Any Applicant that has not checked in by start time of training will be considered a “No Show,” and the applicant’s seat, registration and credits will be cancelled without a refund issued.
  • There are no refunds for “No Shows,” partial attendance, for those that arrive late or leave early, or for those that do not or cannot complete the training in its entirety as scheduled.
  • If the scheduled training is canceled by Central Florida EMDR Training, registrants will be notified, and a full refund will be provided to all registrants.
  • Central Florida EMDR Training will review any extraordinary circumstances that may impact a therapist’s ability to attend or complete their assigned training on a case-by-case basis. Unless otherwise noted, the existing terms and conditions will apply.
  • Please be advised that Central Florida EMDR Training reserves the right to cancel any scheduled event up to 7 days prior to its occurrence if there is an insufficient number of registrants required to conduct the event.
Continuing Education Credits
Central Florida EMDR Training is an EMDRIA-approved provider of EMDR Training (Sandra B Stanford is an EMDRIA-approved trainer and consultant).
Registration Policy
  • By registering and providing payment for this training, all applicants are agreeing all the terms, policies, and conditions of this training.
  • All therapists participating in this training agree to conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner during the training. Central Florida EMDR Training reserves the right to request any Participant to leave the training if that Participant is not acting in a professional or ethical manner, and the Participant’s registration in the training will be canceled with no refunds.
  • All Applicants must confirm their eligibility prior to registration and payment. If an Applicant is found to be ineligible after registration and payment is provided, the Applicant’s seat and registration will be canceled due to ineligibility, and the Applicant will be refunded their registration payment, minus a non-refundable and non-transferrable 15% Administrative Fee.
Training Eligibility
Therapists must meet EMDRIA eligibility requirements for EMDR Training at the time of registration and payment. Status is based on licensure currently held as well as education status.
